Artsmith Fellow
Nancy Canyon,MFA won 2012 Artsmith Fellowship to work on her paintings on Orcas Island in March, 2012. Her current series, paintings of reflections, can be seen at http://artcanyon.blogspot.com. Her painting "Reflection on Padden Creek" was shown at the Lightcatcher Museum 2012.

Nancy Canyon, graduated from Rainier Writing Workshop in 2007, with a MFA in Creative Writing from Pacific Lutheran University. Her thesis "Celia's Heaven", is her third novel. It will be finished soon and posted as an e-book for your reading pleasure.

Sue Boynton Award
Nancy's poem "Dreaming Under a Big Sky" is a recent winter of the 2007 Sue C. Boynton Poetry Contest and the Walk Award. Winning poems will be displayed on the buses and on placards locally in Bellingham.
